Summer Session

Earn undergraduate credits on-line this summer as you begin learning Irish.

Lehman College has been scheduling on-line intensive Irish language summer courses for the past ten years. Visiting students from the following colleges have registered for undergraduate Irish language courses with Lehman College, CUNY, in the summer or winter sessions over the past decade:

Baruch College, Brooklyn College, City College of New York, College of the Holy Cross, Hunter College, Idaho State University, John Jay College of Criminal Justice, Iona College, Manhattan College, The New School, New York University, Our Lady of the Lake University, Smith College, Queens College, St. John’s University, SUNY Empire State College, Tufts University, and University of Florida.

Lehman College tuition rates are very reasonable. For an undergraduate 3-credit course, the tuition begins at $915 for matriculated New York State residents. New York State senior citizens can register through the ENCORE program for $80. For those wishing to take either of our on-line Irish courses this summer, e-mail irish.studies@lehman.cuny.edu now to express your interest and see further information below.

Courses include Blackboard with hundreds of sound files made by Lehman instructors as well as videos. The textbooks for each course have been especially designed for our program and include hundreds of additional sound files recorded by native speakers in Co. Galway as part of our own curriculum development program. The textbooks are available in Kindle or paperback versions and are widely available from on-line booksellers.
