Ph.D. students at the Graduate Center in the past wishing to use Modern Irish as one of their required reading languages have taken IRI 111, 112, and 201 to complete that requirement. There is also has a translation course for such students, Lehman College’s IRI 205,

Ph.D. students in Medieval Studies wishing to use Old Irish as one of their required reading languages should enroll in Old Irish at the CUNY Graduate Center. The course is open to all students of the Medieval Studies NYC Consortium which includes the programs at CUNY Graduate Center, Columbia University, Fordham University, and New York University.
